Introductions

Please allow me to introduce myself

Did you just read that with Mick Jagger’s voice too?  The phrase has been stuck on repeat in my head all day as I thought about writing this post.

First off, I want to say a huge “Thank You!” for visiting!!!! Whether you’ve made your way here through my website, my blog, facebook, other social media or just plain ol’ word of mouth, I’m so happy to have you here with me in my new little home on the internet.

Ink & Thistle Press is not a new business, but we have been on an operational hiatus for a couple of years due to the quirky and seemingly insurmountable logistics of operating a letterpress business from our current home in Guam. I’ve been able to take the time, work with a phenomenal business mentor, and really put together a plan for what I want the future of Ink & Thistle Press to look like.

*totally doing a happy dance in my chair and trying really hard not to giggle, use words like”squeeee!” or use emoticons right now, because I am that excited about my plans for my business and words are failing me…

I’ve been designing away, taking photos and building a website that will launch as soon as we are back and settled stateside (springtime!). I have sooo much in store!!! In the mean time I’ll be building up and refining all my social media outlets, starting right here; I’m super excited to get this blog going.  All of the behind the scenes “stuff” can tend to feel a bit theoretical and not so much like it’s ever really going to happen, so actually putting my first post up makes it all seem very very real and just a teeny bit scary.

Take a look at my About Me Page if you want to get to know me better. I’m looking forward to meeting and chatting with others in this field, brides (& grooms, of course), friends and whoever else finds this blog. Please feel free to comment… I’m completely open to advice, flattery, questions, and good ways to get songs out of your head.

Cheers!
